  • Having high open rates or click rates is nice, but too many people make it out to be a bigger deal than it really is. Data and Intuition both play a key role in telling you what is going on.
  • Oftentimes our judgment gets clouded by just looking at the data, but as marketers it’s important to make people feel like they are being heard and understood. 
  • At the end of the day, the visibility of metrics are important to really judge the efficacy in any system. Your open rate might be good but it doesn’t matter if the conversation rate is terrible.

  • If you want to impact your downstream, consider these four tips; Isolate variables when making changes, practice discipline by pulling on lever at a time, be sure to give the data enough time to reflect the changes you made, and have measurable full-cycle impact.
